A Bright and Cheerful Layered Dahlias Card

Altenew has a layered dahlias stamp set that is just beautiful! I ordered it awhile ago and I just got around to breaking it out for a test drive. Each of the images has a solid layer, lowlights layer, and the outline. Stamp them on top of each other for a wonderfully detailed flower. Easy-peasy, right?

For this card, I did a bit of masked stamping to create my top flower layer. A MISTI really helps out for layering stamps like this. I don’t know if I could do it with a regular acrylic block!

After I had these layered dahlias completed, I fussy cut them out and edged the piece with a black marker to create the look of finished edges. It didn’t take too long to figure out where I wanted them on my card panel. I used a pencil to lightly line where they would go and stamped the lower images around the area.

Then, I adhered them to the scalloped panel with a few foam squares and stamped my sentiment.

And of course, I’m still on the Tsukineko Sparkle Spritz kick, so the card got a good dousing of glitter 🙂

Thank you for stopping in today! If you liked my card, please feel free to share the love and pin it on Pinterest – I’d really appreciate it!
