Quick and Easy Tiny Tags for Christmas

I haven’t entered any challenges lately – I’ve been working on the back-end of my blog for a few weeks. Which seems to be becoming a recurring task since I started blogging, BUT – I have that all cleaned up now, so it’s time to make all the things!

Today’s project is inspired by an older Papertrey October Blog Hop Challenge. The idea is to use the image provided to create a project inspired by it.

The challenge photo for this one is a lovely assortment of Christmas ornaments and wrapping goodies.

From that, I decided to create some tiny tags using Papertrey’s tag dies and some of the papers and stamps from the previous year’s holiday kit.

I usually use the Tiny Treats stamps for cake pop tags for the kiddo’s school parties, but you can efficiently use them on larger gift tags.

I tried adhering my stamped panels straight on the tag, but they didn’t show up that well against the busy patterned paper. With a little ink around the edges, the designs stand out much better.

To do this, I rubbed lightly around the sides with a sponge dauber and a little bit of Cup o’ Joe.

These are so fast and simple to do – just die cut, stamp, and color with your favorite inks or pencils. You can even lay out the image stamp and the sentiment at the same time in a MISTI and stamp both at once. Wouldn’t that be fabulous to add some handmade loves to your gifts for this time-crunched season?!

For my tags, I colored in the little images with Wink of Stella brush pens. That’s the glitter you see in the photos… I finally managed to capture the sparkly goodness 🙂

Thanks for stopping by today to check out my tiny tags! If you like this post, share the love by pinning it on Pinterest! I’d really appreciate it!

  1. So sweet! I love the Tiny and Tremendous Treats stamps – they make such great tags. These made me smile. And whoo-hoo for capturing that Wink of Stella pen in photos. I can’t seem to make that happen, ever! Great tags for the hop!

    1. Thanks, Gina! I’m always looking for places to use those stamps sets. I got a little crazy last year and made Halloween treat tags for the neighborhood kids’ goodie bags. Not sure I’d do that again.. hehe 🙂

    1. Thanks, Nancy! Since I posted, I’ve thought about probably 3 other ways I could have gone about decorating a little more. I may add a couple more photos once I start making the bigger batch for gifts.

    1. Thanks, Barbara! I may add bows just above the panels and use baking twine for the ties in the next batch. I think that will help balance a bit better.
