A Favorite Floral Background with Copics

Do you have a favorite floral background? I do. You can decorate them in so many different ways: emboss, color, resist, paint… the possibilities are endless, really.

This background stamp is definitely my new favorite design. I knew it as soon as I opened the box. It’s from Whimsy Stamps and is called Flower Puffs. It’s been sold out a few times already, so you wanna get on that as soon as possible, haha!

The pattern is even beautiful in just black and white, but I decided to color a few flowers with Copics and attach a black cardstock band for the sentiment.

I used the You’re My Favorite stamp set from Whimsy with Versamark Ink and some white Ranger Embossing Powder for the sentiment. As a side note, an anti-static pouch is your best friend when working with black papers. Otherwise, you’ll end up with white flecks all over the place.

A Stitched Border Die was perfect to trim the edges of the sentiment strip, then I attached it with Tombow Xtreme glue tape.

To add a little something extra on the colored flowers, I popped a trio of dots here and there with a white Signo Gel Pen. And to make the sentiment match, I put a few dots along the F and T as well.
